Trekking close to home
We spent a good part of the morning at Dad and Mum's giving their hedge a big trim and cleanup. Andrew and Dad and Shiana and I worked hard on it, while Ashlyn amused Kyla, and Mum did some housework in between listening to Lucas jibbering, and watching him flit to and fro about the house doing his thing.
Then we picked up Lachlan (Suzanna's son, about Ashlyn's age) and headed to the aquatic centre. It's a pretty cool setup! Kyla, however, only cried and had no interest at all in swimming, so after a picnic lunch, I brought her to Dad and Mum's for a sleep and then Dad came with me to the pool. We remained at the pool till about 430pm!
Lachlan and Ashlyn tried to conquer the inflatable thingy...
Andrew did too... Shhh don't tell anyone but he didn't get the memo that generally kids only attempt it. Doesn't he look like a clown standing there with all the kids. But he generated excitement and even got lots of cheers when he finally conquered it ๐๐
Lucas had a ball all day and even braved the water slide. Sadly rain caused its early closure.
We came home around 530 to cook dinner and relax... and blog of course!

Didn't know that there were deer in the wild in Tassie. You must be out in the sticks. The Aquatic centre looks like fun for the kids.
ReplyDeleteApparently it's one of the main things they use this property for - deer shooting. It's a big property.
